The setting was romantic, and dimly lit. It was quit busy as it was Saturday night on Valentine weekend. I was a bit bummed when they said they were only serving their three course pre-fix. On the phone before we decided to go here they said they had both menus available if we sat at the bar. My date and I were both wanting to try the regular menu. I am doing a keto diet so I was not interested in a dessert at all. And my date didn't care for one either. But that's something we had to get. For appetizer I got the octopus, but it did not mention a mashed potato type of plating under the octopus so I couldn't eat that. And then the entree I decided to get was the hanger steak. Which was absolutely delicious, but it came with a big side of fancy potato! Which they did not include to mention on the fixe menu either. So I did not eat my side. My date got the cured sea trout appetizer which was delicious and reminded me of smoked salmon. And for the entree he got the redfish which was also delicious. I should have gotten what he got as the the sides I was able to eat so I was basically eating his sides. As for the dessert i did break my keto for this but it was very very well worth the one day break we got the hazelnut tart and the citrus vacherin. I was sad but glad to have tried it as well. We also got the raw oysters and these were great too from Virginia.

My experience at Bludorn was incredible. Overall, it is one of the best dining experiences I have ever had and it is on my list of best Houston restaurants. The service was phenomenal and the atmosphere was excellent. It is a perfect environment for a special occasion. The menu is well curated and we enjoyed everything we got. From oysters to a burger to a short rib ravioli, everything was a hit. We have already booked our next visit here and recommended it to multiple friends.

Vegetarian friendly menu for the type of restaurant (and french food). Food amazing and ambiance classy upscale yet comfortable. Impeccable and well timed service. Squash soup is orgasmic and amazing salad. Spicy drink delicious. I would love to return very soon for all 3.

My husband and I went to Bludorn for the first time to celebrate our wedding anniversary. They started us off with their in-house sourdough bread service which was tasty with their smooth herb butter. I ordered the lobster chicken pot pie while my husband ordered the 12 Oz NY strip. He was originally planning to order the Beef Wellington. However, due to seasonal produce, they had taken it off the menu the evening we went which was slightly disappointing. The lobster chicken pot pie was tasty with the roasted corn and cream sauce. I enjoyed it with the warm, flaky pastry that covered it. I enjoyed the amount of lobster and chicken but wish the chunks of meat were smaller, bite-size. Though I imagine they make it like that intentionally to show off the amount of meat you are getting. We felt the steak could have used more flavor. He got the twice baked potato as the side which was good. The ambiance was very intimate with low-lighting and spaced out seating on a Sunday evening. They did treat us to a glass of prosecco each for our special occasion along with a complimentary small piece of chocolate cake. Parking is limited. There is valet or self parking in a small lot or on the street. We were in and out of the restaurant in about one hour. The service was great, and we got our food quickly, about 10 minutes or so from ordering! While we did enjoy our experience, we feel it was good but not amazing to where we just absolutely had to return right away! Overall, I'd rate 7.5/10 for this dining experience.
